AI-ASSISTED PRODUCT DESIGN

Designing the Social Eazie Campaign Builder

I led the design of Social Eazie’s campaign builder, shaping a more guided, accessible and scalable experience for planning and launching campaigns. AI accelerated exploration and iteration, while product strategy and design judgement drove the final direction.

Overview

Project overview

Social Eazie is a SaaS platform that helps real estate agencies create and manage digital marketing campaigns across multiple advertising channels. The campaign builder guides marketers through the decisions needed to plan, configure and launch a campaign.

The legacy experience

Social Eazie originally supported campaign setup through a single-page flow, bringing together channel selection, campaign type, budget, audience targeting and creative configuration in one experience.

My Approach

I used AI as a collaborative design partner to accelerate exploration and iteration throughout the redesign. It helped me test alternative workflows, interaction patterns and interface directions quickly, while product thinking, critical evaluation and design judgement guided every decision.

Problem

Understanding the problem

The existing campaign builder was difficult to navigate, visually outdated and increasingly complex as more campaign options were added. Stakeholder feedback reinforced these concerns and highlighted the need for a clearer, more modern and accessible experience. I reviewed the existing product alongside this feedback to identify the main issues that needed to be addressed.

01

Difficult to navigate

The long linear workflow made it harder to understand progress and what came next.

02

Outdated experience

The interface no longer reflected the quality or maturity expected from the product.

03

Weak visual hierarchy

Important information and actions were difficult to scan.

04

Accessibility issues

Insufficient colour contrast and inconsistent patterns reduced readability and usability.

05

Limited scalability

Adding more campaign options increased complexity and made the workflow harder to evolve

Design Principles

I translated the findings into five principles to guide the redesign and keep decisions consistent across the campaign journey.

Guide the journey

Break campaign creation into clear, focused stages.

Support flexibility

Let marketers start from scratch or reuse saved campaign presets.

Build for scalability

Create modular patterns that can support future campaign types and features

Design inclusively

Improve hierarchy, readability, contrast and interaction consistency.

Transforming the Campaign Journey

The original campaign builder followed one continuous sequence for every campaign. I restructured it into a guided seven-step journey that breaks campaign creation into focused stages and makes progress easier to understand. Users could either build a campaign from scratch or begin with a saved preset, giving them a faster path when creating similar campaigns.

Design

Supporting Different Ways of Working

Not every marketer needs to build a campaign the same way. I introduced two clear entry paths so users could choose between a guided setup or a faster preset-based workflow.

Start from Scratch

Guided users through the full seven-step campaign journey.

Saved Campaign Presets

Let users reuse and customise proven campaign setups, reducing repetitive work and speeding up launch.

Guiding Better Campaign Decisions

Campaign goals, performance settings and budget shape the direction of every campaign. I moved these decisions earlier in the journey and separated them into focused steps so users could make one decision at a time before moving into audience and creative setup.

Campaign Goal

Helped users define the primary objective before configuring the rest of the campaign.

Performance & Budget

Made performance goals, budget options and campaign duration easier to understand and compare.

Simplifying Audience Configuration

Audience targeting combined several decisions around location, demographics and interests. I reorganised these into clearer groups so users could scan, understand and configure their audience more easily.

Core targeting

Kept frequently used controls immediately visible for faster setup.

Advanced targeting

Made more detailed options available when users needed greater precision, without overwhelming the main workflow.

Preparing Campaign Content

I separated creative selection from content editing so users could focus on one task at a time. This made it easier to choose the right format and assets before refining copy and calls to action.

Template & Creative Setup

Let users choose the campaign format, property images and supporting media before writing content.

Content & Preview

Combined ad copy, calls to action and destination settings with live Facebook and Instagram previews so users could review the campaign as they built it.

Review & Launch

Before publishing, users needed a clear way to check every campaign detail without losing progress. I brought campaign settings, audience, creative content and budget into one structured review screen so everything could be verified in one place.

Review and edit

Grouped the key campaign details into clear sections for faster checking and editing.

Clear path to launch

Integrated payment and launch into the final step, with the primary action only becoming available once required details were complete.

Outcome

Approved to move into development

The redesigned campaign builder was approved to move into development after usability testing and stakeholder review, with the new direction receiving positive feedback. The final experience simplified the path from planning to launch, supported different ways of working, improved accessibility and consistency, and introduced reusable patterns that could scale with future campaign types and product capabilities.
